Ingrown toenails can be very painful and almost everyone has suffered from them at some point in their life. What is an ingrown toenail? It is a curvature of the nail that results in the nail digging into the side of the skin. Symptoms also include soreness, redness, drainage and pressure when wearing shoes. We may just have to remove a small piece of nail, relieving you of pain very quickly. In some more serious cases, we may have to perform a surgical decompression where we remove part of the nail and kill the root so the problem is permanently solved.
