Why Does the Ball of My Foot Hurt in High-Heeled Shoes?

Comments (0)

Really? You really need to ask? Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words.

As you can see in this 3D picture of a foot in high-heeled shoes, there is an enormous amount of pressure put on the ball of your foot with 4” heels! This can cause a myriad of foot problems like metatarsalgia, neuromas, and stress fractures, just to name a few. A metatarsal pad can be used to distribute stress, but unless the shoe is made with a memory foam stress distribution system, problems can still creep up.

Let’s rethink the high-heels ladies! These are not meant for everyday wear!
