Finding the right shoe for your child isn’t always easy. Here are some pointers to consider when shopping for a new pair of shoes.

  1. Children’s feet change with age therefore shoe and sock sizes need to be checked every few months. Always have someone measure your child’s feet and keep an eye on signs of wearing in the shoe. When shoes don’t fit properly they can restrict movement and growth.
  2. If your child's feet measure different sizes, buy for the larger foot.
  3. Watch the heels of shoes-uneven heel wear might reflect a foot problem.
  4. Make sure you bring your child with you to the store, have them try on shoes and give their opinion about the feel.
